I’ve spent nearly a decade designing and building data, cloud, and application platforms inside large organizations — where the stack has to survive past the demo.

That deserves some context.

THE EXPERIENCE

CAE

Data & AI platform: catalog, metadata-driven pipelines, automated quality, K8s orchestration, SOC2 consumption on Databricks.

MTY FOOD GROUP

Platform Architect — architecture of the data and AI platform and related applications.

QUANTUMIZE AI

Co-founder. AI-native platforms: strategic intent → technical execution.

POLYTECHNIQUE · PHYSICS ENGINEERING

B.Eng. in Physics Engineering. 8+ years in data, cloud, app, and AI platforms.

STACK

Kubernetes, Databricks, Azure, Terraform, Python, C#/.NET, DataOps, governance.

I’m Hugo Paquet — Platform Architect and co-founder of Quantumize AI, based in Montreal. The through-line: design and build data, AI, and application platforms teams can actually operate.

At CAE, I led design and delivery of a data management and governance platform. Catalog, acquisition, ingestion, quality, exploration — anchored in metadata. Orchestrated on Kubernetes, secure consumption on Databricks.

The stack is rarely the real blocker. Operability is.

I also drove prioritization of platform capabilities with engineering teams — so design didn’t stay on a whiteboard. Architecture without build isn’t architecture.

At MTY Food Group, I architected the data and AI platform for a multi-banner group, and the applications that consume it. The challenge: make data actionable via app surfaces, not just available in a lake.

Earlier at CAE Rise, I built Python and C#/.NET microservices, near-real-time analytics, and Azure infrastructure — close to operations. Platforms make more sense close to the field.

Today, with Quantumize AI (quantumizeai.com), we’re building AI platforms that shrink the distance between intent and technical execution.

What I offer: architecture audit, design & build, staff+ architecture, and focused technical builds — for teams that need to scale data, APIs, and governance without losing control.

What I won’t do: sell a stack without an implementation plan, or a demo that doesn’t survive the first budget quarter.

Platforms that hold. Not projects that evaporate.
